Thanks to our interns from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) Faculty of Arts and Philosophy who are studying Master in Linguistics & Literary Studies and Beyond the Horizon (BtH) staff, Welcome Application content developed by our partners Stad Mechelen, Municipality of Nikaia Rentis and Sala Kommun has been translated to the following languages;
• Arabic,
• French,
• Romanian,
• Russian,
• Spanish,
• Turkish.
During Welcome Application frame development phase, in line with the feedback provided by focus groups representing the target audience of the application, Clarusway DE upgraded the initial application design which was bilingual (English+local language [Dutch, Greek or Swedish]) to a multilingual one so that both back-end and the front-end of the application can support as many languages as required.
Horizon Lab, Beyond the Horizon’s department responsible for digital enabling, machine translated content developed by the partners using Google Translate public APIs and Python from English to the target languages. Then VUB and BtH teams proofread the machine translated version of the content.
